Logansport died at 2:30 p.m.
Monday at Memorial Hospital.
Born March 26, in Bringhurst,
he was the son of William J. and
Susanna Swanders Allen. He was
married Aug. 23, 1920, to Alice
Mayse, who survives.
A retired Penn Central
Railroad conductor, retiring in
1967, he was a member of the
Brotherhood of Railroad
Trainmen, the Moose Lodge, the
Eagles Lodge and the Fraternal
Order of Police.
Surviving with the wife are one
daughter, Mrs. Jean Robinson of
Logansport; one sister, Mrs.
Blanche Hughes of Logansport;
five grandchildren, and nine
great-grandchildren. One son
preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 2:30
p.m. Thursday at the Fisher
Funeral Home, Logansport, with
the Rev. Paul Grant officiating.
Burial will be in the Clymers
Cemetery. Eagles services will
be conducted at
7 p.m. today (Wednesday).
