Betty Rebecca Miller Ricks died at 11:26 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Hood Memorial Hospital in Amite. She was 76, a native of Hillsdale and a resident of Kentwood.

Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 9 a.m. on Monday until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Larry Sylvest. Interment in Mixon Cemetery, Tangipahoa.

She is survived by three daughters, Becky Gabriel, Amite, Cathy Cutrer, Hammond, and Deanie Brumfield, Kentwood; a son, George M. Ricks, Tangipahoa; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Angie Miller, Baton Rouge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milford George Ricks Sr.; a son, Milford George Ricks Jr.; a grandson, Clay Gabriel; and four sisters, Eva Barcia, Nancy Ensign, Mary Brown and Lillian Mae Miller.
