At 1:00 o'clock on Monday afternoon at his home near here, Mr. John A. Loos died after becoming ill on Thursday and having had appendix surgery on Saturday which sadly did not help. The deceased was born in Town Schleswig and was 39 years old. On December 26, 1900 he married Lena Voelker from Town Schleswig and the marriage was blessed with three children of which two are still living.

Besides his wife and children he is survived by three brothers, Herman in Town Schleswig, Emil and William in Colby, also one sister Mrs. Theo Voigt in Town Schleswig, and his parents Mr. and Mrs. John Loos Sr. who have been living near Millhome since their son took over the farm in 1900.
