Red Lodge, Sept. 28--Norman E. McDaniel, 23, died in San Diego last week after a three-day illness.
McDaniel had lived in California for two years working in a defense plant. He had visited in Luther a week before his death, and was returning to San Diego to join the Navy, when he was stricken with a septic sore throat infection.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd E. McDaniel of Luther; one brother,Claude; and one sister, Lois McDaniel.
Funeral services in the community church in Luther. Burial in Tony cemetery, near Luther.
