A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998, in Riverview Abbey for Eli Franklin Beeler, who died Jan. 28 at age 86.
Mr. Beeler was born April 29, 1911, in Liberty, Nebraska. He moved to the Hillsboro area as a child and graduated from Hillsboro Union High School. After graduation he hosted a radio show and was a professional musician in big bands and an accompanist to touring singers.
He retired as a union representative for Crown Zellerbach in 1977 and lived in Garibaldi since 1982.
Survivors include his son, Richard of Hillsboro; daughters, Marlene Nash of Hillsboro and Ila R. Bay of Salem; sister, Eva Ahrens of Portland; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Riverview Abbey. The family suggests remembrances to Kaiser Hospice or to a favorite charity. Arrangements are by Bronleewe-Bass Funeral Home.
