Carrie M. Lawrence, age 97, passed away Friday, July 14, 1978 at Linden Manor Nursing Home in North Platte where she has made her home several yeas. She was born September 22, 1880 in St. Clair County, Missouri. She came to Frontier County with her parents, the late "Uncle Tom and Aunt Betty Stinnette" in 1900. Here she was married to Dan Lawrence who passed away at an early age leaving a large family for her to raise, at Moorefield. Carrie had lived in North Platte since 1938.
She is survived by two daughters, Uva (Mrs. Lloyd) LaBounty of Upland, California and Ceora (Mrs. Loren) Boss of North Platte; seven gandchidren and 12 great grandchilren. She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter and four sons.
Services were Tuesay, July 18, 1978 at 1:30 p.m. at the Adams-Swanson Chapel in North Platte. The Rev. Earl Byleen of the First Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in the Moorefield Cemetery.
