Norbert W. Krey, age 89, formerly of Two Rivers and Manitowoc, currently residing at 3 Creekwood Cove, Belmont, Miss., died early Friday morning at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, Miss.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. Edward Stelter will officiate with burial in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth.

Norbert was born Feb. 25, 1913 in Two Rivers, a son of the late Richard and Catherine Jacquette Krey. He attended grade school in Two Rivers and Washington High School, graduating in 1931. On Nov. 27, 1944 he married the former Myrtle Wilsmann in St. Augustine, Florida.

Norbert served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, retiring in 1963 as a chief warrant officer. He was a lifetime member of the 32nd Red Arrow Division. After his retirement he was employed at APECO Business Machine Company in Evanston, Ill.

Survivors include his wife Myrtle; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and San Fiakas of Chandler, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Karla Schroeder and Kristopher Krey; 10 great-grandchildren and two sisters-in-law, Loretta Wislmann of Two Rivers and Grace Kellner of Bossier City, La.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Karl; five brothers and one sister.

Friends may call at St. John's Lutheran Church after 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at 11 a.m.

Memorials may be made to St. John's School Fund.
