Isaac Azar, 78, a resident of Hallmark Gardens Apartments, died 30 July 1977 at King's Daughters Hospital after an illness.

Rosary will be said at the Joseph's Catholic Church and a requiem mass will be said there with Rev. Patrick Lee as celebrant. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery with Boone Wells Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Azar was a native of Lexington, Ky. He moved to Greenville in 1904 to enter the family business. He stayed with the family restaurant and motel business except for his service in the Air Force during World War II. He retired in 1953.

Mr. Azar was a communicant in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

he leaves two sisters, Miss Slema Azar of Jackson, Tenn., and Mrs. Victoria Azar Bapa of Greenville; and two brother, Jacob Charles Azar and John Azar of Greenville.
