Sally was born in Saint Paul Minnesota. She was the first of four kids. She had a brother (Rick) and two sisters (Pat and Cookie). Soon after she was born, her family went to live with her grandparents on their farm in Lake Park, Mn. Throughout her life, she would reminisce of those early years on the farm. She married Joe Fruci in 1950 and had 2 children, Rick and Paula. She always said 2 kids was enough because, "I have one of each (boy and girl)--you can't have anything else!". She loved to travel and had seen many places in her life. But her absolute favorite place was Norway. Her family originally came from there and she visited there four times. If you knew Sally, there were 2 things you knew immediately...she was Norweigan and Lutheran. Her husband Joe passed away in 1995. Sal was always on the go and enjoyed all that life had to offer. Every picture you see of her, she is laughing or smiling. She was blessed with good health most of her life until November 2005 when, at the age of 75, she found out she had cancer. Even through her brave fight, she was always positive about things. She never got sick from chemotherapy and even enjoyed going out to dinner afterwards. She died peacefully in her daughters arms on February 3, 2007, surrounded by those who loved her.
