ATHY, Mr. Richard Junius, Sr., 68, of Richmond, Va., departed this life May 14, 2019. He was preceded in death by his father, George Athy. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife, Karen; two grandchildren, Jeanae and Jordan; his mother, Edna Athy; sister, Delores Ross (Douglas); brother, Carnell Athy; two goddaughters, Sharita and Shamika; and a host of other relatives and friends. His remains rested at the Robert Mealy Funeral Home, Goochland, Va. Funeral services were held on May 20, 2019, at Second Union Baptist Church, 2843 Hadensville-Fife Road, Goochland, Va. Interment church cemetery.
