Henry VanVlerah, 65, of 185 St. Clair St., died at 9:35 pm Tuesday in General Hospital. He had been ill a year. A Marion resident for 39 years, he came here from Delaware. He had been employed as a laborer by the city 20 years.
Born Dec 6, 1900, in Wood County, he was a son of John and Lillie Barday VanVlerah. His wife Clizzie, died March 2, 1962.
Surviving are 3 sons, Delbert of Oakwood, Martin and Paul of Napolean: 4 daughters, Mrs. Wilma Lahr of 166 Plymouth St., Mrs. Ruth Kuba of Morral, Mrs. Marjorie Moore of LaRue and Mrs. Dorothy Craft of Caledonia: 16 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Harry of St Clair Street, and a sister, Mrs. Russell Herron of Bentleyville, PA.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:30 pm in the Boyd Funeral Home. Rev Wendell H Tobias will officiate. Buried will be in the Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 pm Thursday.
