John K. Bainbridge, president of the Bainbridge Insurance Company of 30 Bay Street, St. George, Stanton Island, and father of former State Senator Robert S. Bainbridge, died of a heart ailment yesterday afternoon at his home, 1293 Clove Road, West New Brighton, Stanton Island. His age was 65.
Born in London, Mr. Bainbridge came to the United States with his parents at the age of 5. A graduate of Old Trinity School on Stanton Island for more than thirty-five years. He was a member of the Princes Bay Yacht Club and Stanten Island Lodge of Elks.
Besides his son, he leaves a sister Miss Annie Bainbridge and three brothers, Thomas A., Ralph and Sydney P. Bainbridge, all of Stanton Island.
