Bob also loved fishing, hunting, horseshoes, and playing pool with many of his friends.
Summer Saturday nights at a friend’s mountain home where everyone gathered to have a HUGE steak and potato dinner with all the trimmings. Played games and he did a lot of storytelling. He gave most all of his friends a nickname, his was “Big Foot.”
He always had a joke to tell in his own special way. He had a huge heart, whenever someone needed him, he was always there.
He will be missed by everyone whose life he touched.
Bob became very close to his nephew, Brent (a son of Bob’s brother, Sam) and Brent’s wife Diane, as they would find the time to spend together and enjoy their close relationship. Over the past few years, after Bob’s sister, Toots, passed away, Bob became very close to his nephew, Mark and wife Glenda, Toots son as they enjoyed regular visits over the phone.
Later in his life, Bob met Mymrie Adams, they fell in love, married and spent the last
31 years of his life with her, living mostly in Arizona while spending many summers in a beautiful golf-course setting in Star Valley Wyoming. There weren't many days that Bob did not find time for a round a golf; a sport he dearly loved. He also loved riding on his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
Mymrie’s daughter, Kelee, along with her husband Shawn, have three sons, Michael, J.R. and Jackson, who endearingly called their grandmother’s new husband “Papa.” They all came to love and adore their Papa. While they would sometimes cringe at their Papa’s blunt and often very direct language, they all recognized and deeply appreciated the true nature of his kind and caring heart, and they would openly pour out their love and admiration for their Papa’s true deeply-seated nature; a big 6-foot 6-inch teddy-bear of a man with a pure heart and a kind soul.
A Graveside Memorial Dedication will be on Wednesday, June 12th at 2 pm in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S 5th Ave, Pocatello, ID.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.cornelisonfh.com
