Emma Rosina Hatch Miles, age 87, died June 16, 1994 in Salt Lake City.
Born November 13, 1906 in Koosharem, Utah, the daughter of Sisson Jacob Hatch and Emma Rosetta Delange. Married Basil Theos Miles, May 28, 1935 in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death November 12, 1977. A member of Liberty Stake 2nd Ward. She served in many positions of leadership including Relief Society president three different times.
Emma is survived by her children and their spouses, Lillie May and Dee Smith, Ogden, Utah; Rulon and Deanna Miles, Eden, Utah; Eva Joy and Anauki Anau, Phoenix, Arizona; June and Michael Beauchaine, Salt Lake City; Betty and Gary Carroll, Farmington, Utah; Tina and Byron Bills (a granddaughter whom she raised), Salt Lake City; 24 other grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers and five sisters. Preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Rose Marie and Marvin Curtis, a great-grandchild, Trent Michael Smith, her parents, and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 24th at 11 a.m. in the Liberty 2nd Ward Chapel, 704 South 500 East, Salt Lake City. Friends and family may gather at the Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road, Thursday evening from 6:30 until 8:30 and at the chapel one hour prior to services.
Interment at Redwood Memorial Estates.
