Stipe was born in a little town in the former Yugoslavia modern day Croatia. He was the baby of 4 children, and his parents were Bare and Zorka Antolos. He was born in his grandfather Ante's house, where he would spend the first 22 years of his live at this house. On July 17, 1954, at the age of 17, Stipe married his wife the 15 year old Dragica Ljubic. Soon after this he went into service in the army, where he would sing with his friends for money or food. After his tour with the army was over, he came home where he and Dragica had their first child Zorica in 1959. The family soon relocated to New York, where they had their second child Violet. Moving from Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan to Astoria, Queens he bought a 6 family house which he and his family lived in until they moved to Rego Park, NY in 1976. Work as a longshoreman was hard work, and Stipe showed it, at 6'3 265 and strong as a bull. As he got older he gained new love in the shape of his grandchildren Zorica's child Ryan, and Violet's 2 children Michael and Steven. As he aged, Stipe longed to return to the old country, and did so for good in 2002. After years of near deaths, Stipe finally passed away after a long battle with prostrate cancer. His wife Dragica took loving care of her husband until the second he died, just 1 week after the couple's 50th anniversary. He is survived by his wife Dragica, Daughters, and grandchildren along with a son in law Vinny. Rest In Peace.
