MOATS, VERNA REYNOLDS, age 89, of Fultondale died October 21, 1996. She was a member of Walkers Chapel Methodist Church; wife of the late Charles R. Moats, daughter of the late Coy and Janice Herring Reynolds. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 23, at 2 p.m. from Gardendale Chapel with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Rev. Ted Cramer and Rev. Lee Bryant officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Survivors: son, Charles Moats (Louise) of Sylacauga; daughter, Jane Clay (Wilburn) of Fultondale; grandchildren, Cathy Franklin, David Moats, John Clay, Damon Moats, and Claude Clay; seven grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sister, Evelyn Reid (George) of Panama City Beach, Fla. Gardendale Chapel directing.
