Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin
Funeral Home. Mass will be Tuesday at the funeral home, with interment in St. Francis de Sales
Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Betty Marcel Fonseca; his mother, Josephine Gautreaux
Fonseca of Houma; one son, Carl Anthony Fonseca of Houma; one daughter, Laurie Ann Fonseca
Babin of Houma; four brothers, Ronald "Fon", Robert "Neggie", Larry and Eric Fonseca, all of
Houma; one sister, Cathy Fonseca Authement of Houma; and 10 grandchildren, Greg and Jeremy
Fonseca, Danielle, Keith, Kirk, Blake and Matt Liner, Kaitlyn and Joey Babin II and Brad Pitre.
He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Anthony Fonseca Sr.; his grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Emile Gautreaux, and Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Fonseca; and several uncles and aunts.
He was a self-employed carpenter, a local musician and a parishioner of Maria Immacolata
Catholic Church.
