William "Bill" Prince Cooper born in Knoxville, Tennessee December 10, 1893 to James Thomas Cooper and Mary Adelaide Dermid.


In about 1917, he first married Annie Rebecca Mills, (parents unknown). From this marriage he had two unknown sons which were most likely born in North Carolina.


He was stationed in France during WWI and after his discharge, Bill moved to Houston, Texas where he met and married Elsie Penfield, (daughter of Franklin Potter Penfield and Jessamine McFarland)


He had a thirst for knowledge and always wanted to learn and study. He finished law school and after that education, obtained a Certified Public Accounting Degree. He and his wife moved to Texon where he oversaw the finances of a small oil company in Texon and then to Houston where he lived his remaining days.


William and Elsie and had five children:

*Margaret Dermid Cooper

*Elsie Perle Cooper

*Mary Jessamy Cooper


William died May 11, 1980 in Houston, Texas.
