Daughter of Amia and Mary (Beaurain) Gilson. She was the fifth of six children. On July 5, 1939, Mildred married Vincent LeGreve Sr. at St. Peter Church, Lincoln. He preceded her in death Dec. 30, 1990. Most of her married life she worked with her husband on the family farm in East Rosiere, while raising her eight children. After retiring from the farm in 1978, the couple moved to Kewaunee where she tended to her beautiful flower gardens. Following Vincent's death, Mildred moved in May 1991 to Luxemburg, where she quickly made numerous wonderful friends, who became her sisterhood. While in Luxemburg she got to know and rely on some of her grandchildren which she could never thank enough. Becky, Amy, Amanda, Tonya and Melissa were always ready to drop everything for Grandma. As she became weaker and could no longer live alone in October 2005, Mildred moved to her final earthly home at St. Mary's Nursing Home, Manitowoc. It was at the nursing home she got to know and was so very proud of her granddaughter, Jenny. At St. Mary's, she loved playing bingo, cards and bowling. She will be remembered by her children and grandchildren for her quilts and crocheted doilies. She was a member of the Kewaunee Rosary Society, Holy Rosary Church, St. Mary's Christian Mothers Society, St. Mary's Church, the Ladies Auxiliary Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg, and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1248, Two Rivers.
