Spartanburg-Earl Lindsey Coates, 72, of 117 Caroline St., a taxi driver, died Tuesday.
A native of Asheville, N.C., son of the late James Henry and Altha Lominac Coates, he was a member of Whitney Freewill Baptist Church and Whitney Masonic Lodge. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Paul Quinn of Columbia and Mrs. Gaino Jarrett of Greenwood.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at M.W. Bobo Funeral Chapel, with burial in Glendale Cemetery.
