MATHEWS Linda D. Mathews, 57, passed away April 15 at 7PM, 2005. She was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a member of Paxon Revival Center. She drove a school bus for Mrs. Sharmon for years and JTA for 10 years. She is survived by her mother, Hazel Blomquist, a sister, Patricia Brooks, a daughter Tonya Burch and 5 grandchildren: James Collins, Ridge Adkins, Cody Dembroski, Ashley Sanders, and Samantha Miller. Also, one great grandchild, Logan Allen Sanders, A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 21st at 2PM in ETERNITY FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 1650 Art Museum Drive, Jacksonville, FL. She also was preceded in death by her oldest daughter Glenda Bryant Sanders. Not a great deal can be said for this obit...will leave it said at that. Linda was my best friend, grew up together, she was full of fun and life, and smiling all the time until the loss of her daughter Glenda in a automobile accident in Jacksonville, Fl. She was a wonderful person, She loved all kind of music...I miss her today and everyday. She is with the Lord singing and smiling in heaven. Linda was the daughter of Hazel Register Mathews Blomquist and David H Mathews, he was a retired Police Officer with the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office~ She is suvived by her sister Patricia Brooks and children and grands. Linda passed away from Lung Cancer & cancer of the spine. I have learned from Linda's daughter that her ashes were inserted at her mothers grave at Greenlawn Cemetary, Along with her daughter Glenda's~
