She was born October 9, 1925, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the late John and Ann Simms, Sr. and sister to the late John F. Simms, Jr. She was the wife of the late Lawson K. Stiff, Sr. with whom she was married for 14 years, and then to Robert E. Clark, to whom she remained married for 42 years. After Bob passed in 2004, Ann married Leo Harris in 2012.
Ann is survived by her brother, Albert Simms, her sister-in-law Barbara Simms; her children Lawson K. Stiff, Jr.; Libby Hoffman, Ann Heine, John Stiff, Sr and all of the spouses of her children.
She left seven grand-children Jean, Sam and Gus Hoffman; John and Nick Heine, and John and Lawson Stiff. She was a great-grand-mother to Lucy Hoffman. Ann was a voracious reader, fly fisher, and advocate for underprivileged women. Ann had a sly and sometimes wicked sense of humor. She loved to laugh, be with her family, and spend time with close friends. Ann earned a master's degree in counseling, and for many years volunteered at Planned Parenthood of Southern Arizona where she served as a bilingual counselor as well as a board member.
