Funeral services for Mabel Ellen Bethke, 83, of 2114 High St., will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Fisher Funeral Home. She died at 6:51 p.m. Friday at Memorial Hospital. Born July 14, 1894, in Cass County, she was the daughter of Willard and Laura Peterson Briggs. She was married to John Bethke, who preceded her in death July 31, 1955.
A member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Mrs. Bethke is survived by a son, John Henry, 2114 High St.; a daughter, Mrs. Laura Ann Edson, Potomac, Md.; two brothers, Clarence Briggs, Rt. 6, and Harold Briggs, 3130 E. Broadway: and two grandchildren.
The Rev. Toby Rendelman will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today.
