Dora’s husband, J. W. Rogers, died of appendicitis on 25 November 1911 in Houston. Dora remarried to Charles E. Hooper on 1 September 1915 in Harris County. Charles and Dora’s marriage was short lived as Dora died of tuberculosis in their Houston residence on 5 October 1916.
