Effie L. Olsen, age 83, of 1007 Margaretha St., Two Rivers, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, Nov. 6, 1999, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. David Arndt will officiate at the service, with burial to follow in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mrs. Olsen was born Aug. 28, 1916, in Lena, Wis., daughter of the late William and Anna Marie (Nelson) Lambrecht. She attended grade school in Lena, and Washington High School in Two Rivers. On Nov. 1, 1941, she married Marvin Olsen in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death Sept. 25, 1994. She was employed at Mirro Corp. for a number of years, and later was a proof reader with the Herald Times Reporter.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Corinne and Terry Paul of Kiel; five grandchildren, Kristen, Allison and Meredith Paul, and Joshua and Angela Olsen; one brother and sister-in-law, Lorin and Jean Lambrecht of Two Rivers; six sisters and one brother-in-law, Evelyn Sorlie of Gillette, Wi., Eleanore Boness, Elaine (Lawrence) Rudie, Eloise Boness, Darlene Lambrecht and Beverly Menges, all of Two Rivers. She is further survived by one sister-in-law, Bernice Lambrecht of Gillette; one brother-in-law, Gordon Hansen of Fond du Lac, Wi., and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Karen, a son Dean, three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, on Monday (TONIGHT) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and at the church on Tuesday after noon until the time of service at 1:30 p.m.
