Jo Ann Stephens Adams, 74, formally of Macon and Forsyth, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2014, at a local nursing home. The family will greet friends one hour prior to a 2:00pm, memorial service, Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Gray Church of Christ. Interment will be held in Forsyth.

Mrs. Adams was born December 05, 1939, in Gordon County and had lived in Gray for the past twenty years. She was the daughter of the late Floyd Holcomb and Winnie Blankenship Holcomb. Mrs. Adams was the first female bus driver in Monroe County and was retired from Warner Robins Rehabilitation Center. She was preceded in death by her husband: Herman Adams.

Mrs. Adams is survived by her children and spouses: Dick and Mome Stephens of Euless, Texas, Hank and Susan Stephens, Jeff and Beth Stephens and Ray and Bitsy Stanford, all of Forsyth, and Missy and R. J. Reynolds of Gray; sister and her husband: Judy and J. M. Williams; and brother and his wife: Nathan and Linda Holcomb, all of Winchester, Tennessee; and was the beloved grandmother of nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that monetary donations or non-perishable food donations be made to Gray Church of Christ, 260 James Street, Gray, Georgia 31032.
