Ted Geertsma, 48, of Ontario, CA, formerly of Sedro Wolley, WA (1960-1978), passed away June 12, 2007 at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda, CA. Ted was born April 15, 1959 in Artesia, CA and was an Ontario, CA resident for 14 years.
He was a generator technician with Generator Services, Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Ted loved the Lord and was a member of CrossPoint Church, Chino, CA. He loved to sing, laugh, hike and run; he especially loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Ontario, CA; four children, Joleen, Karin and Joshua Geertsma, all of Highland, CA and Tyler Geertsma of Ontario; his mother, Florence Geertsma of Mt. Vernon, WA; nine siblings, George Geertsma of Mabton, WA, Emma Bakker of Hamilton, MI, Janetta Pickering of Duvall, WA, Trudy Kuipers of Mt. Vernon, WA, Jim Geertsma of Holland, MI, Rick Geertsma of Grand Haven, MI, Marian Orange, Kenny and Robert Geertsma, all of Mt. Vernon, WA; three step-children, Justin Bonestroo of Corona, CA, Robin Motts of Hemet, CA, Corey Bonestroo of Ontario, CA; one step-grandson, Seth Motts.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2007 at Stone Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2007 at CrossPoint Church, Chino, CA. Burial will follow in Pierce Bros. Crestlawn Memorial Park, Riverside, CA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Ontario Christian School, 931 W. Philadelphia St., Ontario, CA 91761. Stone Funeral Home, Upland, CA in charge of arrangements.
