Born in Texas on Mar 10, 1888, he was a retired sawmill employee with Dierks Lumber Company. He lived here most of his life, coming from Arkansas. Burial was in Broken Bow Cemetery, under direction of Norwood-Welch Funeral Home. The church was next moved to an old store building near Broken Bow Courts, then in 1932 moved to McClure Street where church men built a building little by little. In 1951 they built the present church on Broadway and Second, and moved in November, 1951. In all these building projects, Wallace was instrumental. He served as Sunday School superintendent for years. [McCurtain Gazette, Nov 12, 1978]
