Died on June 19, 2007, at the age of 77 years. Pastor of Corpus Christi Parish, Carneys Point, NJ for over 30 years retiring on January 17, 2005.
Beloved son of the late John Continillo and the late Clara Continillo (nee Ventresca). Dear brother of Richard Continillo of Mantua, NJ, the late Dolores Continillo, and Maria Ostrowski of Washington Twp., NJ. Msgr. Continillo is also survived by his cousins; George Camino and Anna Anderson both of FL. Msgr. Continillo was ordained May 26, 1956. He was parochial vicar of Transfiguration Parish, West Collingswood, St. Agnes Church, Blackwood, and St. Joseph's Church, Camden. After returning from a decade of service in the Diocese of Camden's Brazilian Mission he served briefly as parochial vicar of Holy Rosary Parish, Cherry Hill, before his appointment to Corpus Christi.
Msgr. Continillo will be received at 3:00 PM on Monday, June 25, 2007 at Corpus Christi Parish, 369 Georgetown Rd., Carneys Point, NJ 08069 where a viewing will follow until 6:45 PM. The Mass of Jesus Christ the Eternal High Priest will be celebrated at 7:00 PM.
The viewing will continue on Tuesday, June 26 from 8:45 AM - 9:45 AM also at Corpus Christi Parish. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing, NJ.
