SHIPMAN DIES OF WOUNDS
Harold Shipman, 62, of Broken Bow was found dead in his home by his daughter at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday, June 17.
County medical examiner Dr. Thomas Rhea of Idabel pronounced Shipman dead of one wound from a 12 gauge shotgun. The shotgun was found lying across the body and the wound was determined as self-inflicted.

Harold Shipman, 62, Broken Bow, died at his home southwest of Broken Bow Tuesday, June 16.
Born May 11, 1908, in Sparta, Mo., he had been a resident of McCurtain County 45 years moving from Missouri.
Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. P. C. McKinney of Hilt, Calif., Mrs. Carl Smith, Mrs. Red Moore and Mes. Walter Thomas, all of Broken Bow.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, in the Broken Bow Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. W. G. Baker, officiating.
Arrangements and burial was in the Broken Bow Cemetery under the direction of Norwood-Welch Funeral Home.
