ROCHESTER, N.H. - On Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, Marjorie St. Pierre, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away at home at the age of 84, after a brief illness.

Marjorie was born Feb. 11, 1934 on a farm in Strafford to John and Esther Scruton. She married Stanley Bernard in 1952 and had two sons, Kent and Leonard. She was widowed in 1970 and later remarried Paul St. Pierre.

No stranger to hard work, "Large Marge" worked as a waitress and hostess around the Rochester area for most of her life, most recently spending the last 17+ years as the hostess and matriarch of the Pink Cadillac Diner. She enjoyed nature, animals, hiking Mt. Blue Job, volunteering for Meals on Wheels or simply walking the neighborhood to enjoy the sunshine. She loved her family more than anything, and we loved her the same.

Marjorie is survived by her brother Paul Scruton; her sister Carolyn Ryder; her sons: Leonard Bernard and partner Susan Delisle; Kent Bernard and wife Debbie; her grandchildren: Sara Bernard; Ryan Bernard and wife Melissa; and her great grandchildren, Layla and Bella Bernard.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be Thursday, Dec. 27 at Edgerly Funeral Home in Rochester from 6 to 8 p.m. and formal services will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday.

Please sign the guestbook at www.edgerlyfh.com
