GRAVETTE - Milford Ward "Smitty" Smith, 77 of Gravette died June 24, 2003, at his home. He was born July 15, 1925 in Blaine, Maine, to Eva Thompkins Smith. He moved to Gravette 22 years ago from California. He Married Sharon Cain on May 2, 1972.
He was a volunteer for the Montville (Conn) Fire Department, was a reservist for the San Bernadino County, Calif. Sheriff's Dept. and was a volunteer fireman for the Highfill Fire Department.
He was a Army Veteran and enjoyed farming and gardening.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Robbi Ann Smith.
Survivors include his wife Sharon of Gravette; Two sons, Roger Smith of Phoenix, Az and David W. Smith and wife Melissa of Gravette. One daughter Donna Johnson of West Palm Beach, FL. and four grandchildren.
Sevices will be at 10am Saturday at Callison-Lough Funeral Servicein Gravette with Chaplain Jackie Hoffarth Officiating. A Private burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery at Gravette.
