A. Pearl Smith, 100, of Jacksonville died Friday morning, June 15, 2007, at Walker Nursing Home in Virginia. She was born January 24, 1907 in Jacksonville, the daughter of Edward and Cora Pearl Smith Brunk. She married Melvin Dallas Smith on September 7, 1941, in Jacksonville, and he preceded her in death on July 8, 1978.
She is survived by two sisters, Kathryn Prather of Virginia and Velma Wernsman of East Peoria; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Herman Brunk, George Brunk and Allen Brunk, and two sisters, Viola Ginder and Minnie Wernsman. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.
Services were entrusted to Williamson Funeral Home of Jacksonville, Illinois.
