Died 9 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1986, in Donaldsonville. He was 89, a native of Wallace and resident of Donaldsonville. He was a retired merchant and sugar cane farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War I. He was a member of Babin-Haynes American Legion Post No. 98

Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and 8 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday. Mass of Christian Burial at Ascension Catholic Church, Donaldsonville, 10 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Louis Oubre. Entombment in Ascension Mausoleum.

Survived by a daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Marie) Falcon, Donaldsonville; two sons, James E. Abadie, Donaldsonville, and Ray M. Abadie, Ponce, Puerto Rico; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude A. Borne and Mrs. Henrietta A. Rome, both of Wallace; two brothers, Joseph Abadie, New Orleans, and Clarence Abadie, Norco; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by wife, Elma Schexnayder Abadie; parents, Antoine Olivier and Palmyre Waguespack Abadie; two brothers, Laurent and Roger Abadie; two sisters, Laura Dufrene and Marie T. Abadie; a daughter-in-law, Isabelle S. Abadie; and a granddaughter, Faith Falcon.
