Mom was born on June 14, 1931 in Holland, Manitoba the only daughter of Alexander John Jamieson and Vera Powell Paulin. Her older brothers were William Robert (Bill) and John Duncan (Jack). An infant brother, Donald, died in Vancouver, BC in 1925. Mom was educated at Holland School and enjoyed a very happy childhood. When she finished school, she decided to be a teacher and so she entered the Manitoba Normal School in 1949. There she met her lifelong best friend, Shirlee Lockhart, who was from the nearby village of Baldur. After finishing her studies, both Mom and Shirl ended up teaching in one room schools outside of Darlingford Manitoba and then in Holland. After teaching in Holland, both women taught at Linwood School in St James, greater Winnipeg. On July 17, 1954, she married George Kelly Frame who had also grown up in Holland. They had one daughter, Daryl, and two sons: David and Rob. She was a wonderful mother with a great sense of humour and much wisdom. Once the children were old enough, she returned to work but this time at St James Library. She later was head of the Boys and Girls Department of the Westwood Library and had a very rewarding career. She was much loved by the patrons of the library and other staff. For virtually all of her life, she enjoyed great health which only declined in the last 2 years. She was a widow for 41 years but is now reunited with George. Some of her ashes were buried with Dad and the rest were scattered at Spirit Sands and on the grave of her parents.
