Jaroslav (Jerry) Mryczko, age 86, a resident of the Felician Village, Manitowoc, died Monday afternoon, Nov. 21, 2005, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born May 12, 1919, in Poland, son of the late Simon and Francesca Podobinski Mryczko. Jerry graduated from the University of Vienna with a Master of Science degree in pharmacology and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota. On April 24, 1943, he married the former Hertha Bruckner in Vienna. The family resided in Vienna until 1952, when they relocated to St. Paul. Minn. In October of 2000, the couple moved to the Felician Village. Jerry was a pharmacist prior to his retirement.

Survivors include his wife: Hertha Mryczko, Manitowoc: a daughter and son-in-law: Brigitte and Dr. Joseph Hentges, Woodstock,. Ill.: a son: Roman Mryczko, Rapid City, S.D.: three grandchildren: Mark Mryczko, Denver, Colo.; John Hentges, Chicago, Ill.; and Gary (Michelle) Hentges, Urbana, Ill.; and three great-grandchildren: Olivia, Alexandra and Sam Hentges.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Mary's Home Chapel, 2005 Division St.. Manitowoc, from 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, until the time of service at 9:30 a.m.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26. 2005. at St. Mary's Home Chapel, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Wojciechowski, O.F.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may he made in Jerry's name to the Manitowoc Red Cross.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
