Nelson C. Tompkins, age 95, of 3710 Waldo Boulevard, Manitowoc, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory. Officiating will be Keith J. Burnett.

Nelson was born April 30, 1910, at Lansford. N.D., son of the late Henry and Mathina Nelson Tompkins. He was educated in Valders and graduated with the class of 1928 from Valders High School. On April 30, 1940, he married the former Alma Gauthier in Two Rivers. Nelson owned and operated the Tompkins Coin Machine Business and the Waldo Boulevard Mobile Home Park for many years.

Survivors include his loving wife: Alma Tompkins, Manitowoc: two sons and one daughter-in-law: Dennis and Carol Tompkins, Brillion; and Henry Tompkins, Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Audra, Jenny, Brandon, Leroy, and Sarah; one great-grandson: Rolly; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Phyllis Jebavy, Manitowoc; and Elaine and Roger Willie, Sarasota, Fla. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Nelson was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers: Harold. Edward, and Woodrow.

Relatives and friends may call at The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, Dec. 10. 2005, from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m.
