Mary Louise Vaden, 74, of Cadillac, formerly of Battle Creek passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Munson Healthcare in Cadillac. She was born June 23, 1944 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Clayton H. and Beulah (Bissett) Pifer.

She married Yual “Glen” Vaden on November 24, 1989 in Battle Creek and he preceded her in death in 2009. Mary moved to Manistee County in 2012 and in 2018 due to health issues she relocated to Samaritas Nursing Home in Cadillac. She enjoyed going to car shows and spending time with her family and her dogs. She loved nature and animals. Mary was straight to the point, feisty, and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Colleen (Matt) Hoeh, Suzette (James) Barfell, and Clayton (Billie Joe) Henderson; siblings, Barb Hunsberger, Judy Johnson, and Donald Pifer; 15 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her sons, Gordon Henderson, Brian Henderson-Vaden, and Allen Pifer.

A memorial service will be held Monday, July 1st at 2:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Burial will take place at a later date Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle
