She attended schools in Pennsylvania and graduated from High School in 1945. On September 26, 1953 in Hazelton, PA, she met married the love of her life John Ginter and would have celebrated 65 years of marriage this year. For a few years she was employed at Nabisco Shredded Wheat Company and Dunkin Donuts before starting her fulltime career as a wife, mother and homemaker.
Jeanette was a member of Riverside Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, gadgets of all kinds and had a collection of Owls and Snow Owls. Pastimes also included sewing and knitting and spending quality time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband John, she is survived by a daughter, Cheri (Donald) Wilkinson of the Town of Niagara; two sons, Barry and Scott Ginter, both of Niagara Falls; grandchildren, Nathan, Jonathan and Kyle; four additional grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Family will be present on Friday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday followed by Entombment in Acacia Park Cemetery, Town of Pendleton. If desired, memorial may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association of WNY, 5488 Sheridan Drive #300, Williamsville, NY 14221.
