Helen K. Wilson, 92, formerly of Rush County, died Nov. 7, 2009.
She was the daughter of Fred M. and Dora Maple of Rush County, both deceased. She married Aaron Monroe Wilson June 10, 1936; he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wilson graduated from Arlington High School in 1935. She worked at the U.S. Army Finance Center at Ft. Benjamin Harrison for many years before retiring in 1979. She was a member of Park Chapel Christian Church and volunteered in their office for several years.
Survivors include children, Elaine (Garth) John of Greenfield, Fred M. (Anita) Wilson of Braco, N.C., and Kevin (Lynn) Wilson of Half Moon Bay, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Maxine Oldham of Indianapolis.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by daughter, Lois John Riggs; sister, Norma Snyder; and brothers, Ben Maple and Dr. F. Marion Maple.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield with Pastor David Woods officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Park Chapel Christian Church Mission Fund, 1176 E. McKenzie Rd., Greenfield, Indiana, 46140.
