Doubtless bitten by an infected mosquito while dining at Tivoli Hotel, Guayaquil 24 May 1918. Taken ill on Saturday night 2 Jun 1918, with all symptoms favorable until Midnight of 8 Jun, when her kidneys failed, she becoming delirious and passed away Sunday evening, 9 Jun 1918. She was attended by three of the most eminent physicians here in Guayaquil, and received every attention.
