Bro. Glenn David Ballew went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 4, 2019.
He served in the United States Army from 1966 until he received an honorable discharge in 1969. Bro. David was a member of Canaanland Baptist Church, where he has been a Sunday School teacher for over 40 years.
David was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Columbus Ballew, and mother, Virginia June (Green) Ballew.
He is survived by his wife, Dymple Elizabeth (Scott) Ballew of Eton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and David Hernandez of Chatsworth, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Caleb and Tracy Ballew of Stuarts Draft, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Minnie Ruth Ballew of Chatsworth, GA and Larry and Tara Ballew of Chatsworth, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Steve Wells of Chatsworth, GA; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Nathan and Michelle Ackerman Tilley; grandsons, Adam Tilley and Alex, Isaiah, and Elijah Ballew; granddaughter, Mattie Ballew; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Ballew will be held Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Canaanland Baptist Church with Bro. Billy Ballew, Bro. Isaac Johns and Bro. Caleb Ballew officiating. Interment will follow in the Canaanland Church Cemetery with Bro. Danny Jenkins officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Canaanland Baptist Church 4201 Nicklesville Rd NE, Resaca, GA 30735.
