--Fred S. Freeman, 75, former publisher of the Bunker Hill Press, passed away Wednesday morning at his Bunker Hill residence. He had been in failing health for several years.
--Born on Sept. 7, 1877 in Albion, Ind., he was the son of Cyrus and Alice Thompson Freeman. He married Anna Mae Ruth on Dec. 27, 1899.
--The deceased was formerly connected with the old Logansport Journal, until he moved to Bunker Hill in 1911 to operate the Press. After 38 years in the business he retired in 1949.
--The oldest business man in Bunker Hill, Freeman was active in civic affairs.
--Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at his home with the Rev. Thomas Shiveley officiating.
--The body will be removed from the funeral home to the residence at 11 a.m. Thursday, where friends may call. Arrangements are under the direction of the Glazier funeral home.
