Anna Catherine Senger, a long-time resident of Lodi, passed away in Lodi at the age of 97 on September 14, 2006.
Mrs. Senger was born in Hague, North Dakota on June 20, 1909 to John and Frances Volk. She married Michael J. Senger on January 20, 1929 in North Dakota. They moved to Lodi in 1945. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, ceramics, baking and cooking. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church.
Mrs. Senger is survived by her son, Wallace (Charlotte) Senger of Lockeford; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one brother, Jake Volk of Ipswich, S.D. and one sister, Philippina Johnson of Lodi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael John Senger on June 28, 1983; daughter, Veronica Poole and three sisters, Elizabeth Carilla, Frances Frank and Antonia Datt.
Friends are invited to visit on Thursday at Lodi Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be said on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at St. Anne's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Committal will immediately follow.
