He was born November 27, 1929 in Springdale, Arkansas and was the son of Loy Aaron and Irene (Baker) Aaron. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service and served on the USS Coral Sea Air Craft Carrier. He enjoyed playing golf and played in the Senior Golf Association and enjoyed fishing. He did volunteer work at the White River Medical Center in Batesville and in 2005 was named the Volunteer of the Year. He coached his son's little league baseball team; enjoyed helping people; was a family man who was married to his wife, Nell Aaron for 52 years. He was an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church for over 30 years.
Ken is survived by his son Anthony Aaron of Marion; two daughters, Vivian Sheffield of Batesville and Susan Alpe of Crawfordsville. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Chris Clark, Jessica Earnshaw, Kristen Aaron, Adam Alpe and Amanda Aaron; and two great-grandchildren, Kasey Clark and Lane Clark. His sister, Wilma Dean Kirkland of Springdale also survives him as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Calvary Baptist Church in Batesville, Arkansas with Stefan Eubanks officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
