Rappel, Dorothy nee Rappel Wilberscheid) (Nov. 12, 1918-Dec. 26, 2017 –wife of Bernard Mathias Wilberscheid [married Sept. 5, 1942 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton –this marriage perhaps ended in divorce –Dorothy later took back her maiden name] –daughter of William Rappel and Christina Christel –born in Manitowoc County –“Dorothy was an elementary school teacher for the Department of Defense until her retirement in 1985. Dorothy taught at several overseas military bases including Bermuda, Okinawa and Guantanamo Bay. She earned a bachelor's degree at Wisconsin State College and a master’s degree from Michigan State University. After retirement Dorothy moved to Yuma in 1985 with her partner Edward Lohman. During retirement she taught art at Arizona Western College for 12 years.
