CHARLEY BEGOLE
Charles M. Begole, eighty, of Kirksville, died in a local hospital yesterday morning, September 26.
The son of D.W. and Lydia Stanford Begole, he was born near Gibbs on December 27, 1875.
He was married to Inez Leona Cleminson on September 1, 1893. They made their home on a farm in southwest Adair County near Tullvania for 50 years. In 1943 they retired from their farm and moved to Kirksville.
Surviving are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Odis (Clare) Richardson of Yakima, Washington, Mrs. Karl (Marie) Burt of Kirskville, Mrs. Wade (Mae) Davis of New Boston, Mrs. Max (Marybelle) Shelters of Center, Colorado, Mrs. Delmar (Velma) Bragg of Kirksville; five sons, Dean Begole of Garden City, Kansas, Bert Begole of Gibbs, Don Begole of Arlington, Texas, Warner Begole of St. Joseph and Harl Begole of New Boston. One son, Arthur Eugene, died at the age of one year. There are fifteen grandchildren and thirty-two great-grandchildren surviving.
Funeral services will be in the Baptist Church near Goldsberry at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Interment will be in the adjoining Helton Cemetery. The body is at the Wilson Funeral Home.
