Mrs. Cornelia Schaer Grover, 89, of 2825 SW Danielle St., Beaverton, former organist at the Sunnyside Methodist Church, died Thursday at a local convalescent home.
Mrs. Grover was born in Holstein, Mo., and had been a resident of the Portland area for 62 years. She was organist at the Sunnyside Methodist Church for 44 years and the chimes on the organ there were dedicated to her.
She was also organist for the Davy Funeral Home and the Portland Crematorium for 30 years. She was an honorary member of the American Guild of Organists.
She is survived by two brothers, Arthur C. Schaer, Portland, and Alfred A. Schaer, Northbrook, Ill.
Funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Sunnyside Methodist Church with committal at Portland Mausoleum.
