Mable M. Peterson, 79, Kokomo, passed away 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2007, at Sycamore Village Health Care. She was born in Graham, Ky., on March 13, 1928, to William H. and Ruby (Jerden) Bowles.
On July 14, 1946, she married George F. Peterson.
She worked at Kingston Products for 15 years, then went to work for Ferguson Realty for 20 years, before retiring in 2000. She attended Bible Baptist Church in Kokomo. She served on the Kokomo Board of Realtors; she enjoyed gardening and coordinating road trips for her friends.
She is survived by two children, Suzanne Wilcox and husband Tim, and George Peterson Jr., all of Kokomo; grandchildren, Jennifer Russell, Carmel, Heather Simmons, Michigan, Ryan Joyce, and Andrea Best, both of Kokomo, and Joshua Nelson, Florida; and a sister, Agnes Peveler, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Percifield; two sisters, Mary Dusendschon and Liz McNabb; eight brothers, Clarence, Cotton, William, Jesse, Wesley, Robert, Harvey
and Benjamin Bowles; and her parents.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, Kokomo, with the Rev. Dan Murphy of Bible Baptist Church officiating.
