Georgia F. Dickey, 95, of Prairieton died at 6:30 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2007, at Southwood. She was a retired sales clerk for the S.S. Kresge Stores, now known as KMart.

She was born July 17, 1911, in Greene County to Charles Butz and Myrta Moss Butz. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou Ferris and Ruth Ann Morris; one stepdaughter, Jackie Dickey; six grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Survivors also include her special cat, Reggie and special friends Irma Mann and Harrell and Martha Martin, and Jean Ann Schell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley "Speed" Dickey; siblings, Harry Butz, William Butz, Ruth Abrams, and Opal Anderson; and one grandson, Phillip Morris.

Until 2005, she was a longtime active and very avid bowler at the Terre Haute Bowling Center, where she had been a member of various leagues over the years. She was also very active in bowling fundraisers and for Big Brother Big Sister. The family also wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. James Walsh not only for his professional help, but for being her friend.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, with the Rev. Allen McQueen officiating. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park.
